At Montemarano the documentary on Antonio Infantino's life

The popular music's shaman Antonio Infantino comes back to Irpinia and chooses Montemarano as a movie set for a documentary about his life. The tarantella and carnival's city hosted on Saturday 2 April, the shots of Luigi Cinque director's last work, who chose to relate the popular traditions' world and the relationship with the society's change starting from the Tricarico known musician's life and from the village that has been able to preserve and transmit its traditions better than anyone else.

Antonio Infantino era già stato a Montemarano la scorsa estate in occasione di Tarantella for Africa. Così Roberto D’Agnese, organizzatore della kermesse e direttore della Scuola di tarantella Montemaranese:

"La nostra associazione, la Scuola di Tarantella Montemaranese, in collaborazione con Luigi D’Agnese, responsabile del museo etnomusicale, è pronta ad accogliere i maestri Antonio Infantino e Luigi Cinque. Questo documentario, che vedrà la partecipazione dei musicisti di Montemarano, rappresenterà una vera e propria pietra miliare della tradizione popolare”.
